Delta deploys new vessel to combat oil theft and strengthen maritime security

WHAT HAPPENED

Delta State unveiled or deployed the Delta-built SSV-KALI 3 vessel to combat oil theft, secure assets and support maritime defence. The vessel was built in Delta State, Nigeria, with involvement from the state government, SEEPCO and the Nigerian Navy.

SO WHAT?

The vessel could improve protection of oil infrastructure and maritime assets in Nigeria's Delta region, where oil theft poses a security and economic risk.
