Collected does not mean published

What a brief is based on

The current system works with news headlines and available excerpts collected from external publishers. It does not independently read and verify the complete text of every linked article. The brief is an automated interpretation of that material, not reporting from the scene.

Each published brief contains reported details with links to the sources used, possible consequences labelled as interpretation, and specific unresolved points when the coverage supports identifying them. Publisher names are derived from source hostnames; a hostname is not proof of independent ownership or reporting.

The publication checks

The automated reviewer is instructed to identify one concrete incident or development. A shared country or topic is not enough. A grouping containing separate incidents, a broad roundup, unsupported claims or too little useful detail should be held rather than expanded into a longer article.

A publishable result must provide at least two distinct reported details, source-linked interpretation, and at least three usable source URLs from two hostnames. The source list must also contain at least two different headline texts. Every detail must reference source IDs present in the collected material; fabricated references, empty results and obvious boilerplate are rejected.

These are DoomRadar's own screening rules, not a certification of truth and not advertising-network requirements. An automated reviewer can still match a source incorrectly or miss a contradiction. No record is labelled human-reviewed merely because it passes these checks.

Uncertainty belongs with the assertion

An allegation remains an allegation. A statement by an identifiable party should retain that attribution. A headline about a possible disruption does not establish a confirmed shutdown. Missing details are not evidence that nothing happened: no casualty figure in the collected material does not mean there were no casualties.

The system is instructed not to remove these distinctions to make the prose sound more confident. Unresolved points should be specific to the coverage rather than a generic disclaimer added to every event.

Sources and mixed records

The sources displayed on a published brief are the sources selected for that brief, not every link ever attached to the database record. Each reported detail links to its supporting entries so the reader can inspect the original headline and visit the publisher.

Records that have not passed the checks remain reachable through existing URLs as source records. They are excluded from the main published feed and sitemap and marked not to be indexed. Their generated summaries and severity scores are withheld; the source links are retained for reference. Retaining a link does not endorse its content.

Updates and dates

The time a publisher posted a report, the time DoomRadar collected it, and the time a brief was composed are different. The page labels these separately. A newly collected link may repeat an older assertion rather than describe a new development.

Material-update markers originate in the event-processing system. A wording review does not create a new material-update marker. We do not manufacture a before-and-after history when older text versions were not saved.

Corrections

To report an error, contact DoomRadar with the page address, the precise assertion or source link involved, and a source supporting the correction. Please distinguish a disputed claim from an unrelated article attached to the wrong event.

Do not send passwords or sensitive personal documents. A report can help identify a problem but does not itself establish that the proposed replacement is accurate. We do not promise a response time or automatic acceptance of a requested change.

Advertising

The AdSense connection code, account-verification metadata and authorized-seller file are present. Advertising does not determine our event selection, source references or analysis. The site does not add advertising slots to source records or error pages.
